The news media in India is calling the country’s upcoming Commonwealth Games a debacle. One prominent newspaper headline reads the games are ‘India’s shame.’

~NPR reports India’s spending $6 billion on the games, but preparation has seen delays, shoddy construction, corruption charges and security concerns.

KENTUCKY~ McCracken County sets a burn ban starting tomorrow. A Todd County toddler dies in some sort of 6-year-old tractor joyride. A Marshall County elementary school employee may have embezzled funds. Christian County Schools seeks a new Transportation Director and Hopkins County needs a new Animal Shelter Manager. Companies spent $800k lobbying state lawmakers from May to August.
