US soldiers are training Afghan soldiers to take over bomb diffusion duties.

NPR reports as US troops are preparing for a reduction in troops in Afghanistan, more Afghan soldiers are being trained to diffuse the insurgent weapon of choice.

Kentucky~ Prisoners will work in state parks. They can also get alcohol there apparently. A Fort Campbell soldier settled in his police brutality case. Soldiers received Purple Hearts yesterday.

Tennessee~ TennCare could see massive losses.

Riots and looting spread from London throughout England with no unifying cause.

NPR reports that in the third day since riots broke out in northern London, the violence has spread across England without any apparent cause other than general unrest.

Kentucky~ An alleged rapist is found in Murray. Gov Beshear will share his photos from the Middle East.

Kentucky~ Trials are set to begin for men charged with attempted murder against Murray restaurant owner. State troopers are cracking down on bad driving around semis. Stealing copper is illegal, and possibly deadly. GOP ads claim Beshear is the reason for job struggles in  the state.
