An unexpected discovery at the bottom of the sea in 1977 changed biology.

NPR tells the story of a small crew of oceanographers who found giant 7 foot worms at the bottom of the ocean, changing what biologists believed was necessary to sustain life.

KY~ The federal government begins cleansing contaminants from the groundwater below Paducah’s Gaseous Diffusion Plant. McCracken County will build their fabulous emergency center on Coleman Road. MSU wins $20k in fishing tourney. Ballard, Christian, Graves, Marshall and McCracken Counties win highway mini-grants! Fort Campbell wins a half-mil. Several LBL roads are closed as parts of the forest burns (on purpose) and other area roadwork projects will restrict traffic. You only have 1 week left to register to vote in the primary. Beshear scolds general assembly and is expected to sign a college transfer bill.
