Robot Battles Sparks Kids’ Interest in Manufacturing
NPR reports manufacturing businesses try to attract the next generation of workers with gladiator-like robot fights.
Kentucky~ The Ohio River is expected to swell to “normal” levels over the next couple of days. Paducah Police warn residents about a possible scam. Many small historic towns are in danger of fading away. Two top politicians haven’t given money back that they made while they weren’t working.
Tennessee~ A Clarksville woman is attacked with a sword and folding chair. One is killed and another is hospitalized in a head-on car wreck in Clarksville. The Henry County Medical Center thinks they can make around $1 million next year.
Illinois~ Harrah’s has reopened (hooray!). Lawmakers cut $1.6 billion from Gov Quinn’s budget. The Senate panel approved measures to end workers’ comp.
