All eyes (and crosshairs) are on Newt as he attempts to stay on top.

NPR reports Newt needs to put his dukes up and keep them up if he hopes to win Iowa.

Kentucky~  That’s right, MSU wins again! Two McCracken men are arrested for inappropriate relationships with Lone Oak High School students.  The Carlisle school bus driver who was at the wheel in a deadly crash faces charges.  The state uses grants to pretty up state parks.  Beshear is asked to make pension records public. Sandhill Cranes are making a comeback, quick somebody shoot ’em!

Researchers say daily exercise plays a role in resisting the cold virus, citing a study where the more participants exercised, the less they reported getting sick.

~NPR reports those who exercised five days a week for at least 20 minutes experienced about 40% fewer days of illness compared with those who exercised less than one day a week.

MSU is among several federal grant recipients in the Commonwealth targeting professional development.  Flags are down to half-staff again today.

We stayed classy this morning, declining to run word of terrible Clarksville sex crimes.

KY~ Jenna Bush Hager (W’s daughter) will enlighten Paducah capitalists tonight. You can breathe easy indoors there, too. It’s okay to shoot and kill intruders here (even if it’s not your own home and they’re unarmed). Paducahan rips out $700k worth of locomotive parts. Obama nominates our new US Attorney. Aspiring politicos have till Tuesday to sign up. Senate says ‘YES’ to nukes; panel pushes a public vote on gambling to the floor.

TN~ Clarksville Policeman wrecks during a late-night, drunk drive (allegedly) through Henry County. Commissioners want grant$ to repair their airport.

KY~ Will Judge Woodall step down from the triple-murder case? Paducah will use grant$ to continue its trail and buy a new robot. MSU adds five hall of famers.
