A massive 50-mile wide dust storm enveloped Phoenix yesterday evening.

NPR reports a giant dust storm rolled into Phoenix yesterday evening reducing visibility to zero, and shutting down the city.

Kentucky~ A missing Marshall County woman has been found. Some students might have to get more vaccines. Farmers in counties bordering Illinois could get assistance due to storms. The Farmworker Agency garnered a $1.2 million grant.

Tennessee~ Two Nashville men who killed a Fort Campbell soldier have been sentenced. A father and son are stable after a serious boating accident. A man involved with one Clarksville pharmacy robbery has been arrested.

Trials are set to begin tomorrow for New Orleans policemen charged with killing two during Katrina aftermath.

NPR reports that six years after the alleged police brutality incident, trials will finally begin for officers charged in largest police abuse case in modern New Orleans history.

Kentucky~ The Lake Barkley State Park Beach is closed because of floods and e-coli. Western Kentucky farms are now eligible for flood assistance. Brent Burke is expected to be released today.

Tennessee~ Many state schools could see pay raises.
