KENTUCKY~ Paducah flood wall repairs could cost $19mil and police are searching for 2 men who robbed a Kentucky Oaks Mall patron. McCracken County could sue to stop Paducah’s planned annexation. KY-121 north of Murray closed then reopened this morning for a fire-response. The election (apparently) isn’t over. Paducah’s TransMontaigne will hold a practice drill tomorrow. A Murray house fire reminds us to check our smoke alarms and of the danger of space heaters.

UK may be forced to turn over participant’s names of a study on the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant (due out this fall). A bill that would stop executing the mentally ill faces many challenges. A newly signed federal act may impact (but remains totally unclear) food stamp programs. Beshear’s top aide resigns.

KY~ The Ohio River @ Paducah will rise (to normal flood levels). Beshear declares STATE OF EMERGENCY!

TN~ APSU is closed today among several other area closures. The Cumberland River is cresting in Clarksville as 19 are confirmed dead statewide. Rising waters threaten Cumberland City’s TVA Coal Power Plant.  FEMA boss surveys Nashville from the air while flooding and power outages continue. Bredesen takes a helicopter tour and gives a damage update .
