Yuri’s Night – a celebration of the anniversary Cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin became the first man in space.

It’s Tuesday, April 12.

There’s a free easter egg hunt Saturday at the Murray Country Club for kids 8 and under starting at 9:30 a.m.   Pre-register at Elements, Vintage Rose Emporium or University Book and Bean in Murray and should bring Easter baskets and picnic lunches.

The Madisonville Historic District Commission meets in regular session tonight at 6 in the 2nd Floor Conference Room at City Hall.    The agenda includes Certificate of Appropriateness Review requests for three properties.

The Bethel University Singers present Mozart’s Requiem and Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Dixie Carter Performing Arts Center in Huntingdon, Tennessee.  Get tickets at dixiepac.net.

Preservation Resources, Inc.hosts workshops about historic window preservation at The Grand Lodge in Paducah.  Window Restoration Boot Camp is a hands-on workshop for contractors all day Thursday and Friday.   Old Windows Aren’t a Pane – They’re a goldmine, is 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.  It’s free and open to the public.  Contact Paducah Renaissance Alliance for more.
