It’s Tuesday, April 5.

Thursday the Paducah School of Art/WKCTC 2011 Student Art Exhibition opens at the Clemens Gallery of the Clemens Fine Arts Center on the West Kentucky Community and Technical College Campus.  There’s a reception from 5 to 7 p.m.  The College is at 4810 Alben Barkley Drive.

The Murray State String Ensemble Concert is tonight at 6 in Performing Arts Hall of the Fine Arts Building.  Works by Machado, Tarrega, Paganini, Bizet and Bach are on the program for many combinations of strings including the MSU Guitar Ensemble in its first concert performance.

The Paducah Symphony Orchestra requests artwork for display during its “Triumphant” Concert April 16th at 7:30 p.m. in the Carson Center.  The program features the Symphony Chorus in Cerubini’s Requiem.  The 2011 Young Artist Competition winners also perform.  Submit complementary artworks by Noon, Thursday, April 14th at the Symphony Office at 201 Broadway.
