It’s Wednesday, March 9.

Fort Donelson National Battlefield’s Visitor’s Center hosts the showing of a film titled, The Forgotten Grave:  Women Soldiers of the American Civil War.  The Center is along Highway 79 in Dover.  The film starts at 6:30 p.m. tomorrow.

The second annual Trigg County Civil War Days run March 18 through the 20th in downtown Cadiz.  The re-enactment brings about 150 infantry plus 30 artillery men and their families.  A battle starts at 1 p.m. on Main Street on Saturday, the 19th.  Camps open Friday at 3 p.m. with self-guided candlelight camp tours and artillery night fire.

The Murray State Department of History fundraises for the Beasley Memorial History Scholarship on Saturday, April 2, with a lecture and banquet in the Curris Center Ballroom.  Tickets are $40 at 270-809-2234. The Speaker is Professor Christopher Browning of UNC-Chapel Hill.  His topic is Holocaust History and Survivor Testimony.
