NWS Radar

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for Calloway County beginning at 8:35 this morning and lasting until 3:00pm. The warning comes in conjunction with an area winter weather advisory in effect until 6:00pm. The storm system is moving out of the southeast and is expected to bring anywhere from 1-3   3-5 4 – 8 inches of snow today, but this could change.

Kentucky Transportation crews are on the roads this morning treating potential trouble spots. While pavement temperatures remain above freezing at this time, officials warn bridges, overpasses and some road surfaces may begin accumulating slush. Also, the heavy snowfall may create visibility issues for drivers. Please use appropriate caution if you’re getting out this morning and watch out for snow patches on the roadways and for other drivers. Give yourself plenty of time to get to your destination.
