Kentucky State Police Post 01 Detective John Sims speaks about Investigating Identity Theft at the McCracken County Public Library’s Evenings Upstairs program Thursday at 7 p.m.  The library’s at 555 Washington Street in Paducah.

There’s a U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Boating Safety Class Saturday at the American Legion Post 68 on Lakeshore Drive in Kuttawa.  Pre-registration is required for the 8 to 5 class that costs $20.  Contact Alan Wade at 270-388-9799.  Keep safe while boating.  Many insurance companies recognize completing this class with discounts.
