It’s Friday, January 14.

Murray State’s Eagle Gallery hosts a reception tonight from 4 to 6 p.m. introducing The History of Mexico through Its Engravings — A Foreign Land:  Women, Domestic Violence and Migration – encaustic paintings and poetry — Works by New MSU Art Faculty:  Michelle Given, photography and Katie Hudnall, wood and works by Gallery Director Mary Van Wassenhove, prints and sculpture.  The Gallery is on the 6th Floor of Doyle Fine Arts.

Paducah Tilghman High School hosts the Oscar Cross Boys and Girls Club Sing-A-Thon tomorrow from 6 to 11 p.m.  Monday Martin Luther King Jr. Day observances include a Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. at the Cherry Civic Center.

The Glema Mahr Center for the Arts at Madisonville Community College hosts auditions at 2 p.m. Sunday for the Children’s Center for Dance Education’s supporting roles in Hansel and Gretel the Ballet to be presented in March.

The Yeiser Art Center in Paducah opens its new Teen Spirit 2011 Exhibition with a reception 3 to 5 Sunday featuring works by area high school students.
