The US Supreme Court hears arguments today in a California case testing whether states may ban the sale or rental of violent video games to minors.

~NPR reports the video game industry points out this is hardly the first time the government has tried to ban a new form of expression because some see it as corrupting the young.

KENTUCKY~ Vote today! Hand counting ballots could happen in McCracken County’s Clerk race. For a 2nd time in a decade, the Mayfield Police have withheld evidence in a murder case. A Cadiz woman gets lucky with a lottery win weeks after her home burned down. Mark it on a map! Western Kentucky will be a stop along the Lewis & Clark Historic Trail.

TENNESSEE~ Local judges petition Montgomery County commissioners for more funding to alleviate an overcrowded juvenile court system. Nashville State Community College will begin funneling students into Austin Peay’s rolls. Henry County Medical Center may soon stop subsidizing the 911 system.
