It’s Tuesday, November 2.

The Jackson Purchase Friends of Bluegrass offer a Bluegrass Extravaganza at the Kentucky Opry Friday.  Knoxville, Tennessee’s Jerry Butler and the Blue Jays open at 7:30 followed by The Josh Williams Band, whose principal hails from Marshall County.  The Opry is 5 Miles South of Kentucky Dam on Hwy 641 in Draffenville (3 miles North of Benton).

The Paducah Symphony Orchestra performs in Murray Saturday at West Side Baptist Church on Johnny Robertson Road.  A pre-concert chat starts at 7 p.m. with the program featuring Cherubini’s Symphony in D major and Beethoven’s Symphony Number 7 in A major.  Tickets are at 270-444-0065.

All this month an exhibition of photography titled Soaring with the Eagles, a collaboration of work by Angela Elliott, Richard Pugh, Connie Wilson, and Martha Yanchyshyn is on display at the Stewart County Visitors Center, Highway 79 and 117 Visitor Center Lane in Dover.  It’s open daily 8 to 4:30.
