It’s Friday, October 8.

Murray State University’s Libraries sell books from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow at Homecoming’s Tent City.  Browse old Yearbooks $5; hardbacks $1, paperbacks 50 cents, magazines for 10 cents, albums and cds $3 and videos $2.  Tent City is at Stewart Stadium.

The 34th Annual Trigg County Ham Festival is on in Cadiz.  The Alonzo Pennington Band performs from 3 to 5 today followed by a Hog Calling Contest, then music and fireworks.  Cooking Kentucky’s Largest Country Ham and Biscuit starts at 8:30 tomorrow and will be ready to eat at 11:30.

The Humane Society of Marshall County’s Barktoberfest is tomorrow at its facilty at 6301 Highway 68 East, Benton.  The yard sale starts at 7:30.  Other activities from 9 to 3 include pet and family pictures, and contests.

LBL’s Wolf Week starts Sunday at 3:30 p.m. with Howl Your Head Off at the Nature Station and continues through Saturday, October 16 with activities daily. Learn about the red wolf’s comeback from the brink of extinction.
