Kentucky~  The Governor’s wife is going to talk with military spouses at Fort Campbell. Sen Leeper says don’t get to excited about extra money. Gubernatorial hopeful Williams’ daddy-in-law is giving a lot of money to the cause. Not enough people are playing the lottery.  Candidates for Governor are slinging mud (surprise, surprise).

Illinois~ The Union votes today to go back to Honeywell.

The multi-wived family from the reality show ‘Sister Wives’ is challenging anti-bigamy laws in Utah.

NPR reports the unconventional family knew it was going to face legal challenges if they publicized their lifestyle on television, and they intend to succeed in court where others have failed.

A coal company says inbreeding causes birth defects in West VA; not mountain top removal.

Kentucky~ Trials are set to begin for men charged with attempted murder against Murray restaurant owner. State troopers are cracking down on bad driving around semis. Stealing copper is illegal, and possibly deadly. GOP ads claim Beshear is the reason for job struggles in  the state.

Tennessee~ The state collected more tax revenue than expected…again.

Somali pirates last year seized a record number (+1k) of hostages. This year, they’ve already hijacked 15 vessels, including an American yacht whose four passengers were killed.

NPR declares Somali piracy has become an epidemic.

KENTUCKY~ MSU Basketball Head Coach Billy Kennedy is in the running to be the University of Miami’s next. Paducah may have a (better) community center in the works. Clinton’s embattled nursing home will close and its purported violations have been released. Dems call for gubernatorial candidates to disclose their finances but Republicans say no. David Williams’ GOP running mate Richie Farmer wants his wife’s divorce petition dismissed.
