TENNESSEE~ Overnight bridge work in Clarksville is expected to delay traffic on Wilma Rudolph Blvd. If last week’s flash flooding damages total $7.3mil, the state can apply for federal aid.

ILLINOIS~ Honeywell Corp and union reps have another discussion penned in October.

A West Paducah mom (allegedly) writes a fake letter to get her son out of jail. A Fort Campbell soldier from Arizona died in Afghanistan in a non-combat incident and another lost an appeal for possessing a rocket at his home. Madisonville expands its recycling effort. The Commonwealth ranks 3rd fattest in the nation.

TENNESSEE~ Clarksville’s next budget may include iPads for City Council members. Unemployment in Henry County drops almost 1% in April to May.

ILLINOIS~ Union/Honeywell negotiations remain a stalemate. There’s a call to strip some elected Metropolis officials’ health insurance coverage.

A barge hit the US-68 bridge over Lake Barkley. Cadiz expects to benefit from alcohol taxes.  3% natural gas price hikes are coming. Rand’s comments push senators to adopt a new discrimination resolution and WE HAVE A BUDGET!!!

KY~ We reached our public radio fundraising goal this morning. Storm’s a comin’ (this weekend). Paducah halfway house escapees: 3 down, 1 to go. Tragic teen’s mushroom friend  is out of jail.  Calloway County has 4 superintendent finalists and its former Sheriff’s building sells for $71k. A Fort Campbell soldier is awarded the Silver Star. An antivirus glitch screws up school computers across the state.

TN~ A bill that could let the Governor circumvent the Attorney General’s office is making progress. Republicans (obviously) oppose removing tax cap.

IL~ 15k strong march FOR state income tax.
